I wanted to congratulate the Adena Warriors for their participation in the recent Blood Drive sponsored by the FCCLA. The drive met 86.5% of their goal, which is fantastic news! Seeing young people making a difference in their community is heartwarming. I also wanted to give a shoutout to the Red Cross staff and to sophomore student Lukus Hines, who were pictured at the event. Thank you for all that you do to support such important causes!

Congratulations to Laura Smith, Adena Volleyball Coach, for her incredible achievement of 800 wins! It's clear that her dedication, hard work, and passion for the sport have paid off in a big way. As the second-ranked coach on the Ohio High School leaderboard for All-Time Coaching Wins, Coach Smith has undoubtedly left a lasting impact on her players and the community. It takes a special kind of leader to achieve such a milestone, and Coach Smith inspires all. Here's to many more victories and continued success in the future!

September Lunch Calendar

Who will be the first student to earn a ticket for good behavior this year? Our Big Blue Jug is empty. As part of our PBIS program, students can not only earn prizes from their classroom teachers by earning tickets for good behavior, but as a building they will try to fill up the Big Blue Jug. If our Warriors succeed in filling up the jug, they will be rewarded. Once the jug is filled up, it will be emptied and they can begin refilling it to try to earn another big reward.

Adena Elementary Reminder: If you are a parent picking up your child after school and have to get out of your vehicle to buckle your child into their seatbelt, please pull into one of the visitor parking spots to buckle your child in. This will help keep the pick up line moving in the afternoon.

It was a great day to start off an exciting school year. Thank you to students, parents, staff and community members that made this a successful first day of school.

The first day of school was a success! It was so great to see all of the students back in the halls and classrooms. A couple of our Warrior students, Miss Lynlee Hines and Miss. Kinley Beasley used their video creation magic to put together a very special video from the middle and high school teachers to all of our students. Also, a special thank you to Mr. Denny Hammond for advising and assisting on making this opening day extra special!
The question that was posed to teachers was, "What do you hope for your students this year?" Check out the video below. Let's make it a great year Warriors!
