Adena Local Schools, in collaboration with the Appalachian Children Coalition, Nationwide Children's Hospital and Adena Health, has been awarded grant funding for the Warrior Wellness Center.

Attention, middle school students: unfortunately, the Adena Middle School Shamrock Dance has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Mrs. Vickers reports that she has witnessed Cole on multiple occasions caring for and being kind to his sister and other friends! Cole has a big heart! Great job Cole!


Mrs. Vickers reports that Aubrey is a great friend in the classroom and is such a brave kiddo! She went through 6 long weeks in kindergarten with a cast and barely missed a beat! WAY TO GO AUBREY!


Mrs. Vickers reports that Brantlee has been working SO hard at reading goals and he has been making a lot of progress lately! Brantlee has the dedication he needs to meet all his goals! Awesome job Brantlee!


Pickaway Ross is hosting their New Student Welcome on Tuesday, March 26. This welcome will be for students who will be on the Pickaway-Ross campus full-time. The students in the magnet programs (Allied Health, Sports Med, etc.) will not be attending this day. The school will provide transportation to and from the Pickaway Ross campus for the students attending that day. We will arrive there around 10:20 am and depart at approximately 1:30. Mr. Bones has heard that Adena Local Schools believes in exploring all career options. Today, he is exploring the agriculture and health fields. He is sporting his ADM hat and his Adena Health Systems cardigan.


Mrs. Bryans reports that Chance volunteered to go out and pick up the balls and put them in the ball cart. We love your initiative Chance!


In order for staff and students to pay their respects to Kayden McWhorter, school will be canceled on Friday, March 15th. Adena prides itself on being a close tightly knit community that is always there in times of need. Please take this day to reflect, and honor Kayden.

Mrs. Vickers reports that in Kindergarten, we work a lot on using our words and proper communication. Everett has been doing a great job being a role model in the classroom by communicating respectfully and accurately. Great job Everett!

From March 15-17, 2004, the stage will come to life with our talented students morphing into character. The excitement is building up, and we cannot wait for you to join us for an unforgettable experience. Our principal has given us a sneak preview of a few pictures, and let me tell you, they are amazing! Make sure to mark your calendars and get ready for a show that will leave you smiling from ear to ear.








Join us as we honor the memory of Kayden McWhorter with a candlelight ceremony sponsored by the Class of 2023. Let's meet on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the football field to pay tribute to someone who touched so many lives. Through our shared remembrance, we can create a beautiful and meaningful experience that celebrates Kayden's life and legacy. Hope to see you all there!


Mrs. Acton reports that at the end of LATCHKEY Wyatt saw some toys had been left out by other kids and he cleaned them all up even though he did not play with them that day. Wyatt your willingness to help is an admirable display of responsibility and consideration. Way to go!


Last night tragedy struck the Adena Warrior Family. Please Keep Kayden McWhorter, and his family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time. Counselors and support personnel will be on sight at Adena High School on Monday to support students, parents or others.

Congratulations to the HS symphonic band who earned a 1 rating and MS earned a who 2 at competition.

The Adena 7th/8th grade Band performed tonight at large group contest and received a rating of Excellent (2)! Nice job!

The Adena High School concert band received a superior and will be headed to the state competition! Congratulations!
